Trade

The Association of Free Traders is the premier trading organisation in the Peripheries. With starships operating throughout the galaxy, and a widely spread network of starbases, the AFT can bring trade to you. Why risk losing your valuable ships to the pirate threat? Confidentiality

Confidentiality is one of the key principles of the AFT's operations. We do not disclose the details of our trades with other parties, nor any information (e.g. starbase locations) that we may have picked up during the process. It is generally known that we trade with everyone and travel everywhere. Beyond that, knowledge of your activities is safe with us.

Trust

The AFT is an Association of individual traders. Each has the freedom to operate independently if they so choose, but is required to abide by our Code of Conduct. In the event of any problem arising, the matter should first be addressed to the individual member in question; then if a resolution cannot be found, the matter can be brought to the attention of the AFT Council.

Sustainable Pricing

Our aim is to provide fair, competitive and, above all, sustainable pricing. Prices will gradually change over time; such is the nature of supply and demand. We aim never to indulge in the wild price changes that less scrupulous traders will implement. If an item is on the market when you start your journey, it should still be there when you reach us. The price or quantity may have changed slightly, as the markets are dynamic, but never in such a way as to break the bank.

Local Markets

AFT starbases can be found throughout the Peripheries. Our network of facilities allows us to provide a local service wherever you may be. For trade goods, our local starbase will purchase them at a price greater than you would achieve by selling them within the same Periphery. Our starbases with open markets also provide port facilities across the galaxy, and each has its own market specialities.

Access

Through its neutrality and peaceful nature, the Association of Free Traders has legal access to more areas of space than any other affiliation. Our starships travel freely wherever trade is welcomed and profit can be found. Spotted something for sale in an area that you can't reach? The AFT can deliver. Looking to sell for more than you can achieve locally? Achieve a better price by selling to the AFT. When you trade with the AFT, the entire Peripheries are right on your doorstep!

Payment Terms

As the market leader in interstellar commerce, the Association prides itself on its reputation for fairness. In addition to always offering fair prices, AFT members are happy to offer credit terms or come to barter arrangements where desired. And any rumour that the AFT is only for affiliation high-ups with deep pockets is a total myth. We are happy to trade with all, whatever your allegiance or however small your order.
